Kobayashi was desperate… he needed to pay rent and he was out of options. His wife came up with a brilliant idea. Enter (and win) a local eating competition.
Sure.
Small build. Average appetite. No experience.
Competing against some big dudes.
What would you do?
No way to win, unless…
Kobayashi decided that he couldn’t win with better tactics, co he’d have to win with a better strategy. He was a student of game theory, which was about the optimal ways to do things.
So he went about focusing on the optimal way to eat a hot dog… and designed a hot dog eating strategy and system.
Small build. Average appetite. No experience.
How’d Kobayashi do?
He won the $5 grand locally.
Then he took months off to hone his system and went to Coney Island to challenge the world’s best. And he won.
In fact, he won 6 times, setting the world record in the process.
Systems. Mastery.
