Beth and I arrived in Charlotte around 9PM and proceeded to the rental counter to pick up the Mustang convertible. Reserved and paid for.
The woman behind the counter, who was very nice, felt bad that they had no more convertibles.
āWhat!?!ā was my question, while Beth was silently reminding me to be nice (a role that Anni plays when we travel together).Ā
Long story short. No convertible and trying harder doesnāt matter when you donāt deliver Avis!
I will tell that story over and over. It may keep a few people from using Avis. However, Avis will survive.
Hereās the marketing lesson. Today, trying to grow your business using so called āword-of-mouthā marketing will be super slow with very limited results.
Itās the same LIE that advisors are taught. Just get your name out there.
