You feeling the effects of the extended shutdown of business… and life?
You are not alone. Everyone is feeling it. It feels like it will never end. It’s like a punch in the gut.
He was living in a run-down, seedy apartment in LA with his wife and dog. He knew hard living. After all, he grew up in Hell’s kitchen in New York City. Life was never tilted in his favor; but, he never stopped dreaming.
What are you dreaming for?
Inspiration hit. In three and a half days, he cranked out a movie script and hit the trail to sell it. One catch. He wanted to star in it. A nobody. No way. Yes way.
He held out for the lead role. Rocky “The Italian Stallion” Balboa.
In 1977, Rocky was nominated in 10 categories; and won three Oscars: Best Director, Best Picture and Best Film Editing.

Here’s some wisdom from Rocky, “Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are. It will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently, if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done!”
It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
Despite this dragging on, keep moving forward.
